After structural fumigation
Do not enter based on elapsed time, smell, or a general online estimate. Wait for the fumigation company’s formal clearance and follow every ventilation and re-entry instruction.
After a localized treatment
Ask which rooms, beds, surfaces, and belongings were treated and when each may be touched, cleaned, occupied, or slept in again.
Bedding and mattresses
Do not wash, cover, replace, or sleep on treated bedding or surfaces until the applicator explains the treatment-specific steps. Cleaning too soon can also reduce treatment effectiveness.
If instructions are unclear
Stay out of the affected area and contact the treating company. The product label and the applicator’s written directions control—not a generic timeline.
